Paradise Coast
Tairua Campground is a family focused camping ground in the centre of Tairua. The harbour, shops, restaurants, cafes and playground are only a short stroll away and one of the Coromandel's finest surf beaches is just down the road.
We have a variety of accommodation to suit your needs: Deluxe Cabin and standard Cabins, a Family Room and both Powered and Non-Powered camping sites.
Most of our sites are 8 metres by 5 metres, so there is plenty of room for all your camping gear.
We're also dog friendly, all year round - some general rules apply for the safety and security of other guests. Let us know if you'd like to bring along your furry family member.
With our onsite facilities and everything you might need a short stroll away; you may find you hardly need the car.

Tairua is a stunning seaside village, home to a friendly relaxed community, who love to share their piece of Paradise Coast. It's a wonderful place to stay, relax and play and an excellent base from which to explore the Coromandel Peninsula.
Tairua has it all; enjoy the adventure of the ocean beach, the shelter of the harbour and estuary, the views from the twin peaks of Mt Paku, the privacy of the nearby Slipper, Shoe and Aldermen Islands, the lushness of Coromandel Forest Park, the delicious fare of local restaurants, cafes and the eclectic mix of shops.
Try snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, diving, freediving or a spot of tennis or golf; there are endless opportunities to have a whole lot of fun! On your doorstep is breathtaking Pauanui (only a short ferry ride across the harbour), the famous Hot Water Beach, Hahei and Cathedral Cove only a short 30 min drive away.
